Symphony By The Sea

On the final day of the Parksville Beach Festival, immerse yourself in the enchanting sounds of live orchestral music at the Parksville Outdoor Theatre, proudly sponsored by Carol Riera, Personal Real Estate Corporation.

 

The Vancouver Island Symphony, led by Concertmaster Calvin Dyck as Guest Conductor, returns to the Parksville Outdoor Theatre with a program perfectly suited for a sunny day in the park. Enjoy the powerful melodies of Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5,” the delightful waltzes from Strauss’ “Blue Danube,” and the adventurous tunes from “The Pirates of the Caribbean,” among other orchestral favorites.

 

Tickets are available for purchase online or in person at the McMillan Arts Centre (MAC) – located at 133 McMillan Street, Parksville, BC V9P 2H5. In-person ticket sales at the MAC will close at 3 PM on Saturday, August 17. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate starting at 3 PM on the day of the concert.

Ticket Pricing:

  • Adult: $45 + GST
  • Students (13-18): $10 + GST
  • Children (12 & under accompanied by an adult): Free
  • Note: Additional processing fees apply.

Wristbands can be picked up at the McMillan Arts Centre or the Box Office located at the festival gate. Please ensure the purchaser brings valid identification for wristband pickup.

 

Cancellation Policy: The Parksville Beach Festival Society enforces a “no refund” policy for cancellations.

 

Pet Policy: No animals are allowed inside the concert area, even if carried. Service animals trained to assist a person with a disability are welcome.

 

Additional Information: Bring your own chair or blanket to sit on. The Parksville Beach Festival Society plans to offer liquor service at this event. Please do not bring alcohol or any other liquids into the venue as our team will conduct checks at the entrance gate. Prohibited items, including outside liquor, will be confiscated. Free potable water will be available on site, so attendees are encouraged to bring empty water bottles. A variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments will be available for purchase.
